Acoustic Performance, Integrated with Your Interiors.
Measured with REW on the centre channel, before and after acoustic treatment — same room, same microphone position, no EQ. Reverberation time (RT60) at 1 kHz fell from 0.64 s to 0.30 s. Across the measured range the RT60 curve became much flatter, so sound at different frequencies now dies away at a more similar rate. This is a room result, not a panel specification.

What is a reference-level home cinema?
A reference-level home cinema combines calibrated playback with the speakers, amplification and room acoustics needed to reproduce film soundtracks at the level they were mixed. THX defines studio reference level as 85 dB SPL with 20 dB of headroom — peaks of 105 dB from each main channel. The low-frequency effects (LFE) channel carries 10 dB of extra headroom, so its peaks reach 115 dB for the LFE channel as a whole, not per subwoofer. These are peak capabilities, not the volume throughout a film.
Do I need to watch every film at reference volume?
No. Reference is a calibrated playback benchmark. You can choose a lower listening level to suit the film and your comfort. A reference-capable system does not require you to use its maximum capability.

Can I hear a reference-level cinema before I invest?
Yes. Our Krix Reference Level Experience Center in Anna Nagar, Madurai demonstrates a full-reference system playing from Apple TV and Netflix. Visits take about an hour and are by appointment.
Why does acoustic treatment matter in a reference cinema?
